Beef Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

April 20, 2017 0 Comments
I experimented and tried cooking Beef Broccoli in Oyster Sauce for the first time.

The ingredients that I used are:
  • 1-2 tbsp of Olive Oil
  • Garlic
  • Oyster Sauce
  • Broccoli
  • Beef (sliced thinly)
  • Cornstarch (diluted in water)
So, first, I blanched the broccoli that we bought at the market for around 2-3 minutes, drained some excess water and set it aside. Heated the pan for a while and then I added the beef. After the beef is almost cooked, I started adding the onions and stir it for a while. Then I added the oyster sauce, cornstarch which was diluted in water and lastly the broccoli.

I actually just estimated the ingredients and calculated it on my own, so I can't give the exact amount that I put in the recipe... Hehehe... I'm not really good in cooking unlike my hubby, but anyway, I think it was a success because my little one liked it. ;)

Celebrating Another Good Year with Good Life and Doña Elena!

November 24, 2016 0 Comments
Early this month, I celebrated another good year with Good Life and Doña Elena! :)

I thank God for giving me another good year to celebrate life. I am indeed grateful for all the things that he has given me, most especially the gift of life, the gift of family and the gift of friends...

We just have a simple celebration at home together with my husband, daughter, sister-in-law and her son and one of my best friend for more than 10 years...

I am not that good in cooking but I am blessed to have a husband and a sister-in-law who are great in cooking. Cooking Pasta is my sister-in-law's specialty and so she is the one who cooked it using the ingredients from Doña Elena which are the following: Al Dente Pasa Excellente Penne Rigate, Diced Tomato and Olive Oil. Other ingredients are the ground beef, sliced hotdogs, spaghetti sauce, minced onions and garlic, salt and pepper.

It taste really good and Doña Elena Al Dente pasta lives up to its name as being "al dente" or "firm to the bite".

My hubby also prepared Sinuglaw marinated in Good Life's Sesame Oil, soy sauce, pepper, garlic, and calamansi.

We grilled the  pork and chopped it and then we added the sliced cucumbers and onions. The Good Life Sesame Oil can also be added into sauces as a seasoning, or use it to finish cooked dishes for that extra hint of smokiness.

This is the healthy salad that my hubby also prepared, it has lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, grapes, hard boiled egg with squeezed dalandan. The sauce which I haven't got the chance to take a photo of, is mixture of the following: mayonnaise, honey, squeezed dalandan, pepper, pinch of salt and sugar..

It was a happy day and I was surprised because I didn't expect that they have a surprise for me. They've bought brownies from our neighbor, which taste really good by the way. Then, I blow the candle and make a wish... :)

I am so thankful to have my family and thank you to everyone who greeted me on my birthday. Thank you also to Fly Ace Corporation for sharing the Good Life and Doña Elena products to us... The Sexy Chef Cooking Demo at Abreeza Mall

March 25, 2014 0 Comments
I am not a good cook and I still have a lot to learn but I am trying my best to cook for my family. As much as possible, I want them to eat healthy foods, especially my little one. So, I was so excited when I got an opportunity to attend a healthy cooking demo with The Sexy Chef Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck and her sister Rachel Alejandro at the Abreeza Mall last Saturday, March 22, 2014.

I have learned a lot from them and also learned a few of their recipes that they've shared during their cooking demo. Four of the recipes that they've shared are also in their book The Sexy Chef Cookbook which are the following:

Malunggay Shrimp Fried Rice

Stir-fry Korean-Style Noodles

Tofu "EGG" SALAD Tea Sandwiches

Romain Salad with Cranberries, Pine nuts and Pesto Vinaigrette

One day, I will try these healthy recipes. I just hope my little one would eat it, hehehe... I also bought cucumbers a while ago so I can try the cucumber juice. You just blend the cucumber and drink it's juice everyday and it will help flatten your tummy. So, for everyone who wants to get rid of their belly fats (like me), try to drink cucumber juice everyday. It can also clear out the toxins in our body. ;)

Thank you sexy chefs for all the tips you have shared with us... :)
