Toddler Activity: Color Sorting

Wednesday, December 10, 2014 0 Comments
Color sorting is a fun activity for you and your toddler. It will also make your little one busy and learn at the same time.

One of the activities that I had with my 2 year old daughter is the Color Sorting. At 1 year old, she can already identify colors. And it seems so easy for her as I watch her sort out the different things and toys that I have laid on the table.

She can also identify the shapes and letters of the ones she had sorted out. And I am so happy and proud of her learning achievements. I guess all moms would be, right? ;)

Most of the things that I used were the LEGO like blocks and letters in different colors.

Sorting colors or shapes can help our child/children develop their thinking skills and most importantly it teaches them to organize things which they can apply in their life later on; like organizing his/her toys, clothes, and other things. :) It's a fun activity that you can try at home. I wanted to share the color sorting printable that I used but I can't find it anymore. But, I found two free printables which is also good, click the photo below to download it.

The other one can be downloaded here: Sorting Colors by teachingmama.org.

You can also make your own Color Sorting if you want, just like what I did in the first photo that I shared. I got some scratch papers and used the back side of it then I made big circles and colored it into different colors. Then you can let your toddler enjoy while sorting. Have fun! :)

3M Scotch-Brite's Easy Sweeper - My Trusted Help in Cleaning our Home

Monday, December 08, 2014 0 Comments
Cleaning our home is quite a tedious job but with the right cleaning tools, it will make your life easier. When cleaning, I used to mop the floors first and finished it with a broom. But there's a disadvantage too when using the regular brooms, it shred some of its hair and you'd take another sweep on the floor to get it. Quite tedious, right? But after I've tried the 3M's Quick Sweeper or Easy Sweeper, I have rarely used our old map. Why? It's lightweight, so easy to use and it cleans our floors easily in just a few sweeps!

The Easy Sweeper mop comes with a microfiber cloth: microfiber for high water absorption and polyester fiber for strong static attraction, which allows for wet and dry cleaning in one. With its strong static attraction it can easily picks up hairs, dust and small particles in one swift motion. This microfiber cloth can easily be attached and detached from mop its head and you can throw the cloth afterwards.

What I also like about the Easy Sweeper is that, it has a mop head that allows for 360-degree rotation, making it easier to clean under your tables, bed and especially the hard to clean corners. This mop can be used in Vinyl Floor, Tile Floor and Hardwood Floors.

Honestly, it made my cleaning life easier and hassle-free! ;)

Lachi's Sans Rival Atbp

Thursday, July 10, 2014 0 Comments
If there's one restaurant that I love and would love to recommend, it's non other than Lachi's Sans Rival Atbp. It's not that expensive and you'll get really satisfied for what you've paid for.

The first time I've tried their food was way back in year 2008 and from that moment, I kept on craving for their dishes and most especially their pastries. I personally loved their Durian Cheesecake and Sans Rival.

Durian Cheesecake

Classic Sans Rival and

Durian Sans Rival

I wouldn't miss those two whenever I'm at Lachi's, al though sometimes the durian cheesecake which is their best seller by the way, is not available or it's all consumed. I guess a lot of people really love it and I am just one of them. ;)

Here are some of Lachi's delectable home-cooked meals:

The Sexy Chef Cooking Demo at Abreeza Mall

Tuesday, March 25, 2014 0 Comments
I am not a good cook and I still have a lot to learn but I am trying my best to cook for my family. As much as possible, I want them to eat healthy foods, especially my little one. So, I was so excited when I got an opportunity to attend a healthy cooking demo with The Sexy Chef Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck and her sister Rachel Alejandro at the Abreeza Mall last Saturday, March 22, 2014.

I have learned a lot from them and also learned a few of their recipes that they've shared during their cooking demo. Four of the recipes that they've shared are also in their book The Sexy Chef Cookbook which are the following:

Malunggay Shrimp Fried Rice

Stir-fry Korean-Style Noodles

Tofu "EGG" SALAD Tea Sandwiches

Romain Salad with Cranberries, Pine nuts and Pesto Vinaigrette

One day, I will try these healthy recipes. I just hope my little one would eat it, hehehe... I also bought cucumbers a while ago so I can try the cucumber juice. You just blend the cucumber and drink it's juice everyday and it will help flatten your tummy. So, for everyone who wants to get rid of their belly fats (like me), try to drink cucumber juice everyday. It can also clear out the toxins in our body. ;)

Thank you sexy chefs for all the tips you have shared with us... :)

Being a Mom...

Tuesday, March 18, 2014 0 Comments

Yes, being a Mom has made me a better person. I used to be this happy go lucky girl who loves to travel and have fun. But when I became a Mom, it all changed, I rarely go out now... I don't have any regrets though, I'd rather stay home and spend time with my baby. :)

Being a mom changed me... I have learned a lot of things like cooking, baking, and of course taking care of my baby. I am glad there are people around me who supports and give advices on how to properly handle and take care of my precious little one.

Seeing your little one smile as she sleeps or when you try to play and giggle her is one of the most precious moment I would cherish. It wasn't easy but being a mom made me stronger, responsible and more happier.
